Munich Airport
Simplifies and accelerates
processes

Flughafen München GmbH, a public-sector company, operates one of the 10 busiest aviation hubs in Europe. As a full-service operator, Munich Airport offers services in all areas of airport management with 14 individual companies. avvaneo has supported Munich Airport in simplifying and automating processes, including the general ledger accounting process.

The challenge

The company was already using a solution for automated invoice processing. New legal challenges as well as compliance requirements made the current status obsolete. In the search for an absolute expert for the financial automation of this area, the decision was made in favor of avvaneo.

Our services

  • Provision of services for the automation of accounts payable processes and general ledger accounting based on the existing solution
  • Optimize according to compliance specifications with defined release levels
  • Integration of the statutory e-invoicing standard
  • Onboarding new companies as part of the invoice receipt process
  • Roll-out of the solution for other companies
  • Service and support for the entire invoice receipt process ("Customer Success Programs")

Result: A leap forward in digitalization

The project has single-mindedly delivered the desired results. Numerous processes were significantly accelerated and optimized, while considerable cost savings were achieved at the same time. The compliance requirements are ensured, which is also helped by the integration of the new electronic invoicing formats, which simplify communication with the authorities. Thanks to our Customer Success Program, Munich Airport ultimately benefits from short response times when processing support tickets, which means that the required service level agreements (SLA) can be fully met.
