ASFiNAG cooperates with avvaneo
One of the major European infrastructure managers is the Austrian ASFiNAG (Autobahnen- und Schnellstraßen-Finanzierungs-Aktiengesellschaft). Founded in 1982, it plans, finances, builds, maintains, operates and tolls highways and expressways throughout Austria.
ASFiNAG finances all expenditures - from new roads to functioning winter services to clean rest areas - solely from its own resources. It reinvests the toll revenues directly into the infrastructure - for even more safety. In plain language, this means that there are no subsidies from the state budget.
Freeway for invoice receipt
Currently, ASFiNAG operates and tolls 2,249 km of highways, 5,818 bridges, 405 km of tunnels. The annual turnover in 2021 amounted to 2.8 billion Euros. This compares with more than one hundred thousand invoices per year. In order to make accounting in the SAP environment even more efficient, ASFiNAG found what it was looking for in Frankfurt. With avvaneo. So to speak, with the freeway builders for invoice receipt processes.
We say thank you for the challenge and look forward to working with the SAP Competence Center and ASFINAG's accounting department. The first milestone is the introduction of a Fiori App for the approval of incoming invoices. The project has just started.
About ASFiNAG
ASFINAG Service GmbH and ASFINAG Alpenstraßen GmbH are responsible for handling the operational management of the freeways and expressways. Both companies are responsible for all activities related to operational and electromechanical maintenance as well as inventory and traffic management in their respective service areas (ASFINAG Alpenstraßen GmbH for Tyrol and Vorarlberg, ASFINAG Service GmbH for the other federal provinces). Bau Management GmbH (BMG) carries out all construction measures for the new construction and maintenance of the motorways and expressways. It also builds access and exit lanes, service stations and traffic control checkpoints, and implements noise protection measures. ASFINAG Maut Service GmbH is responsible for collecting tolls in the ASFINAG route network. We distinguish between time-based passenger vehicle tolls, mileage-based passenger vehicle tolls along toll sections and mileage-based electronic truck tolls.
